Approximately one tenth of all people living in North America are searching for a nail fungus cure right now. Since most nail fungus infections occur on the toenails, they are easy to hide. Most people, of course, hide them so we aren’t very aware that onychomycosis affects a lot of people. Many things can happen to an infected nail.
It can become discolored, break or crack, and can eventually become painful. There are a lot of products out there designed to be a toenail or fingernail fungus cure but many are not very effective. There are several that can be prescribed by a doctor. Some are oral treatments and others are topical. However many doctors actually prescribe a few over the counter treatments that have proven to be extremely effective in removing the fungal infection permanently. There are several natural cures that people swear by as well. Vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, and Vicks vapor rub are a few of the products that have been rumored to work well. Most evidence, however, shows that they are only effective on mild to moderate cases. Homeopathic treatments are great as well. They combine natural antiseptics with natural moisturizers to not only treat the infection but improve the overall condition of the nail at the same time. Most of the time they cost less than other treatments. Whatever method you choose, make sure to become as educated as you can about it. There are many side effects that can possibly occur with certain treatments and although most of them are not serious, a few are. Patience is required no matter which type of treatment you choose. There is no nail fungus cure that works fast.
